What the chat operator does on your Webflow site
- It learns your site from its public pages: your pages, CMS collection pages such as blog posts or case studies, and your FAQ and contact pages. It finds them through your sitemap and the links on your homepage.
- It answers visitors in a chat bubble on every page, from what those pages say. Visitors ask things like:
“What does your product integrate with?”“Do you have a case study in my industry?”“How do I book a demo?”
- It points to the page that has the answer, and when that link is on the page the visitor is looking at, it highlights it.
- Asked how to reach you, it gives the phone number, email or contact page from your own pages.
- When your pages don't have the answer, it says so and passes the conversation to you instead of guessing.
- Asked whether it is a person, it says it is an AI assistant.
- You give it the name and avatar you like; your visitors see that name, not ours.
It answers from your published pages. It does not read your Webflow Designer, drafts or form submissions; when a visitor needs something only you know, it hands the conversation to you.

Type your site's address. GetFoxChat reads your public pages and opens a preview of the operator answering from them. No account, nothing to install.

Put it on your Webflow site: about two minutes
It is one line of code that goes on every page. Webflow has a site-wide Footer code box for this; the change goes live when you publish.
Before you start: Site-wide custom code needs a paid Site plan (or a paid Workspace plan).
- Create your free GetFoxChat account at getfoxchat.com/register and add your Webflow site's address. The install step shows your snippet with your site ID already in it, and a Copy button.
- Open Site settings for your site (on your Webflow dashboard, open the site's menu and choose Settings).
- Click the Custom code tab.
- Paste the snippet into the Footer code box.
- Click Save changes.
- Publish the site (Publish button in the Designer), or the change stays unpublished.
- Back in GetFoxChat, press Check my site. The chat switches on once GetFoxChat finds the snippet on your site.
The line looks like this. Yours has your own site ID in place of YOUR_SITE_ID:
