What the chat operator does on your Wix site
- It learns your site from its public pages: service pages, menus, prices you publish, opening hours, FAQ and contact pages. It finds them through your sitemap and the links on your homepage.
- It answers visitors in a chat bubble on every page, from what those pages say. Visitors ask things like:
“Do I need to book in advance?”“What's included in the basic package?”“How do I get in touch with you?”
- It points to the page that has the answer, and when that link is on the page the visitor is looking at, it highlights it.
- Asked how to reach you, it gives the phone number, email or contact page from your own pages.
- When your pages don't have the answer, it says so and passes the conversation to you instead of guessing.
- Asked whether it is a person, it says it is an AI assistant.
- You give it the name and avatar you like; your visitors see that name, not ours.
It answers from your public pages. It does not see your Wix bookings, orders or member areas; when a visitor needs that, it hands the conversation to you.
See it on your Wix site first
Type your site's address. GetFoxChat reads your public pages and opens a preview of the operator answering from them. No account, nothing to install.

Put it on your Wix site: about two minutes
It is one line of code that goes on every page. Wix has a Custom Code panel for this, so there is nothing else to install.
Before you start: Wix only allows custom code on a Premium plan with a connected domain.
- Create your free GetFoxChat account at getfoxchat.com/register and add your Wix site's address. The install step shows your snippet with your site ID already in it, and a Copy button.
- Open your site's dashboard and click Settings.
- In the Development & integrations section, click Custom Code.
- Click + Add Custom Code (top right).
- Paste the snippet into the text box and name it "GetFoxChat".
- Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages and "Load code once".
- Under Place Code in, choose Body - end.
- Click Apply.
- Back in GetFoxChat, press Check my site. The chat switches on once GetFoxChat finds the snippet on your site.
The line looks like this. Yours has your own site ID in place of YOUR_SITE_ID:
