What is included at Starter ($29 per month)

Starter is the working plan, not a stripped-down preview. You get the full FoxChat widget, the full retrieval-grounded brain that answers from your help content, the inbox where every conversation is logged, one operator seat to reply from, and one site to embed the widget on. The 500-conversation monthly ceiling covers most small sites comfortably; if you go over, FoxChat queues additional conversations until the next cycle rather than charging you a per-resolution fee. Brand voice matching, walkthrough recording, push notifications for operators, escalation to human, multilingual replies in more than sixty languages, the KB editor with versioning, and the weekly intelligence digest all ship at Starter. There is no add-on tier hiding the good stuff. The intent of Starter is that a solo founder who is paying out of pocket gets the same product as a team paying for Pro.

What is included at Pro ($49 per month)

Pro is the plan most teams settle on once they have more than one operator. The conversation ceiling lifts to roughly 2,000 per month, the operator seat count rises to five, and visitor memory extends to ninety days so returning customers get continuity. Pro adds Slack and Discord routing so escalated conversations land in the team channel your operators already watch. It also unlocks coaching rules, which let you constrain the FoxChat AI Operator (you name it yourself) with explicit dos and don'ts — for example, refuse to discuss competitor pricing, always offer the free trial when asked about cost, prefer the refund policy entry over the support entry on cancellation questions. Pro is where most sites stop, because the operational ceiling is high enough that scaling further usually means scaling your support team, not your software.

What is included at Agency ($149 per month)

Agency is for operators running five sites or more from one dashboard. Conversation volume is unlimited, the seat count is ten, visitor memory is unlimited, and the widget can be white-labelled with your own brand on every embedded surface. Each of the five sites has its own knowledge base, its own inbox, and its own brand voice profile. Knowledge fragments can be shared across sites, so an agency running five clients in the same vertical can maintain canonical answers in one place. Agency also unlocks priority support response on the FoxChat side, API access for reading and writing entries programmatically, conversation export to CSV, and the connector roadmap for HubSpot and Salesforce lead pushes. If you are productising support-as-a-service on top of FoxChat, Agency is the layer that makes it operationally sane.

What changes between tiers

The differences are about volume and operational fit, not feature gating. Starter to Pro is where you cross when you have a second operator and your conversation volume starts brushing the 500-per-month ceiling. Pro to Agency is where you cross when you have a second site to manage. The feature surface itself is intentionally consistent: every retrieval mode, every escalation mode, every widget customisation, and every language is available from the $29 plan. Per-resolution fees do not appear at any tier, because charging customers per AI conversation creates the wrong incentive for everybody — the operator stops promoting your AI operator, the user gets a worse experience, and the support inbox fills back up. You pay a flat monthly fee, and your AI operator answers as many questions as your visitors ask.

Common questions

Do I get charged extra per AI conversation?

No. Every plan includes unlimited AI conversations up to the plan ceiling, and conversations that would exceed the ceiling are queued rather than billed extra. There is no per-resolution surcharge.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your billing page in the dashboard, with one click. Your widget keeps working through the end of the current cycle and then deactivates. We do not bill you for the next month.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

You get the full product for fourteen days, on whichever plan tier you pick. No credit card is required at signup. At the end of the trial you choose a plan to continue, or the widget pauses until you do.

What happens when I hit the conversation cap?

New conversations are queued, not billed extra. Visitors see a polite message that an operator will get back to them, and the queue clears at the next cycle. If you regularly exceed the cap, the dashboard nudges you to upgrade to the next plan.

Do I need a developer to install FoxChat?

No. The whole install is a single script tag pasted into your site template. Most non-developers ship it in under five minutes using the platform-specific install guides for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, and others.

Can I import my existing help content?

Yes. FoxChat auto-imports from your public site on first load, and we ship dedicated importers for Zendesk, Intercom, Crisp, and Help Scout that bring your help-centre articles in directly. See the import guides for each source.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes. Paying yearly saves you the equivalent of two months on every plan tier. The annual toggle appears on the checkout page after the trial.

What if I run multiple sites?

Pro covers one site. Agency covers five. If you run more than five, talk to us from the dashboard and we will price a custom multi-site arrangement, still without per-resolution fees.

Still unsure

If you are debating between plans, the right move is to start on the trial at the tier that matches where you expect to land, not the cheapest one. The trial is the same fourteen days whichever you pick, no credit card is required, and you can downgrade or upgrade at any point during the trial without restarting the clock. The fastest way to know whether FoxChat fits your site is to embed the widget, answer one or two questions in the inbox, and see how your AI operator handles the rest. Most teams know within forty-eight hours whether to keep going. If you decide it is not for you, cancel from the dashboard and the widget deactivates on the next cycle. There is no contact-sales gate and no human approval needed to start, change, or stop.
