Add GetFoxChat to your Ecwid (by Lightspeed) site
On Ecwid Instant Site, add the snippet under Website, Advanced website settings, Custom JavaScript code, which places it at the bottom of the body on every page. The line loads the GetFoxChat chat bubble on every page, and the operator behind it answers your visitors from your own public pages.

Yours has your own site ID in place of YOUR_SITE_ID.

Add GetFoxChat to Ecwid (by Lightspeed), step by step
- In GetFoxChat, open the install step for your site and copy your snippet. It already has your site ID in it. No account yet? Create one free.
- From your Ecwid admin, go to Website (or Overview, then Manage Instant Site). source
- Scroll down to the Advanced website settings section and click Add Code under Custom JavaScript code. source
- In the field that appears, paste the GetFoxChat line. source
- Save the changes. source
- Refresh your Instant Site page in the browser and check that the chat bubble shows. source
- Back in GetFoxChat, press Check my site. The chat switches on once GetFoxChat finds the snippet on your live pages.

Ecwid (by Lightspeed) gotchas
- The Custom JavaScript code field holds up to 4000 symbols per code, which is plenty for the one GetFoxChat line. source
- Use the body field, not the header meta tags field. Ecwid recommends JavaScript in the body for page speed and keeps the header for site verification codes. source
- A Custom Code Section added in the site editor only covers the page it sits on, so it is not the right place for a site-wide chat widget. source
- If your Ecwid store is embedded in another site (WordPress, Wix and so on), Instant Site settings do not apply there; install GetFoxChat on that host site instead. source
Removing it later
Go back to Website, Advanced website settings, Custom JavaScript code, delete the GetFoxChat code, and save.
