GetFoxChat vs Help Scout
Help Scout is a support platform built around a shared inbox, with a knowledge base, an AI agent and Beacon, an embeddable widget for chat, contact forms and help articles. GetFoxChat is website chat whose AI operator answers from your own pages and shows visitors where to click. Every Help Scout fact below is quoted from Help Scout's own pages and linked.
How this page is made: each Help Scout line below is taken from Help Scout's own public pages, with a link to the page and the date we checked it (30 Sep 2026). If we could not read something on Help Scout's pages, we do not state it.

Showing visitors around the page: does Help Scout do it?
GetFoxChat: When the answer is a button, link or field on the page, the operator scrolls to it and draws a ring around it with a short note, instead of describing where it is. For a task with several steps, the operator runs a guided tour: step 1 of N with Next and Skip, moving on when the visitor clicks the highlighted element, and it can pause for a side question and resume.
Help Scout: Not described on the pages we checked. Beacon shows help articles and proactive messages, and the AI answers questions. The GetFoxChat AI Operator highlights the button, link or field on the page, or runs a step-by-step tour.

Pick Help Scout if your team works a shared inbox across email, SMS, social, chat and voice, and wants a knowledge base and HIPAA compliance in the same product. GetFoxChat is not the right pick if you need those channels, a ticket-style inbox or a free plan. Pick GetFoxChat if you want website chat whose AI operator answers from your own pages and shows visitors where to click.

What the GetFoxChat AI Operator does on your site
The GetFoxChat AI Operator (that you name as you like) is website chat that answers from your own content.
- Learns from your own site. It reads your site's public pages to build its knowledge base, and can import published help-center articles from Zendesk, Intercom, Crisp, Help Scout and Freshdesk, or a CSV file.
- Visitor goals. You list why visitors come to your site (buy, book a demo, get support). The operator recognizes the goal from the pages a visitor views and what they click, can offer the first step, such as a tour, and you see how many reached the goal.
- A person when it matters. Visitors can press Talk to a person, and your team replies from the GetFoxChat inbox.
Moving from Help Scout? GetFoxChat can import your published Help Scout help-center articles into its knowledge base.
Tested every night, results published
Each night the operator is asked real questions on our own sites, and each answer is checked: that it answered, that it gave the right link, and that it pointed at the right button or started the right tour. Last run 27 September 2026: 145 of 145 questions passed across 4 sites. These are our own four sites, and the page shows one night of results so far, so this is not yet a trend.
